Illustration for the campaign of the 45th International Filmfestival Assen, made during an internship with Groningen-based design agency Strangergirlsclub. The image was used in several promotional materials for the campaign of the 2025 edition.
The illustration is a playful take on ‘WATCH THIS!’, the theme for the 2025 edition, as well as the feminist/progressive roots of the festival. The image features a rough male character whose face is scrunched in pain trying to avoid looking while a feminine hand is poking him in the eye, as if saying ‘you can’t look away from this’.
