Official poster for the 4th edition of the Festival YA by Romanian bookstore chain Cărturești. The design is a tribute to the nights spent reading, when it is impossible to put the book down, too captivated by the fictional world you have been thrown into to realize that it is already getting brighter outside.
The story of the poster is presented in 3 parts: a more literal illustration - a person reading with person reading with bated breath in the dead of night; and something more abstract - that feeling when you find it so hard to put down a book that it seems to take root and become one with you; or the infinite universe created in just a few pages.
The central element of the poster is the beam of a lamp that starts from the top right corner and culminates in the festival logo, highlighting different segments of the 3 illustrations at the same time. The colors are strong and vivid, to reflect the young age group of the target audience and integrate shades from the logo.
